ARIADNE'S THREAD
Alice, a graduate student at Emory University, discovers that her mother, recently deceased, was pregnant when she was in high school. Stunned, Alice begins a search that leads her into a labyrinth of lies and deception—undermining her assumptions about her family, her lover and herself. As her narrative becomes intertwined with the study of Homer’s Iliad and the tale of the ill-fated Ariadne, Alice struggles to find meaning in the world of modern America through the ancient world of myth and magic.
